Frequently asked questions
What does Animated Emote Maker make?
A locked character and everything a small streamer needs from it: animated and static emotes, a PNGTuber avatar, sub and bits badges, channel points icons, a channel kit, sign emotes, stickers for Discord, WhatsApp and Telegram, holiday outfits and a mascot pack.
What pictures can I upload?
PNG, JPG or WEBP, up to 10 MB each, 1–3 pictures: a front view is required, a side view and a full-body picture help. One person or one character per picture works best; group photos come out mixed.
I don’t have a picture or a mascot. Can I still start?
Yes. Choose “Design a character for me”, answer five quick questions (or write one sentence) and get four drafts. The first round is free on a new account. Pick one, tweak it if you want, then lock it.
Will every emote look like the same character?
That is the point of the character sheet. You confirm one sheet (three views, six expressions) and every later generation sends it to the model with your pictures, so the face, hair, outfit and colors stay put. AI can still drift on small details; any single emote can be redone for 1 credit.
Do the files really pass Twitch and Discord limits?
Every file is checked before you download it: dimensions, file size, format, frame count, transparency and flashing. If something is over a limit we first reduce colors, then drop every other frame, and the panel shows exactly what was traded. Limits change, so each one links to its source.
Can I upload animated emotes to Twitch without Affiliate?
No. Twitch only lets Affiliates and Partners upload animated emotes. Everyone with emote slots can upload the static PNG versions we include, and you can keep the animated files ready for when you reach Affiliate.
How much does it cost?
New accounts get 3 credits. An animated emote is 1 credit, a character sheet 2. Packs are 15 credits for $9.99, 40 for $19.99 or 100 for $39.99 and never expire. Stickers, PDFs, zips and the free tools cost nothing.
What happens if a generation fails?
Its credits come back automatically. A result that the model did produce but you don’t like is not a failure — redo that one item for its normal price, or email us if it is clearly broken.
Who owns the emotes?
You do. You get the commercial rights to the art generated for your character, provided the pictures you uploaded were yours to use. Don’t upload another real person without their consent, or characters and logos you don’t own.
How long do you keep my files?
Uploaded originals are deleted after 2 days and sprite sheets after 7 days. Your character’s reference pictures and confirmed sheet stay until you delete the character in My characters, so you can come back and make more.
Can ChatGPT not do this already?
It can draw a GIF. What it won’t do is keep one character consistent across 30 files, cut them to 112/56/28, keep each under 512 KB, check the flashing rule and zip it by platform. That bookkeeping is what this site is for.
Which apps do the PNGTuber files work with?
Any app that swaps images by state. The pack has idle.png, talking.png, blink-idle.png and blink-talking.png at 1024×1024 on one canvas, with steps for veadotube mini, PNGTuber Plus and OBS in the README.
